Benoy and Janie's families have known each other for a long time. But when their sisters, who happened to be close friends, decided to do a little matchmaking, Benoy and Janie said, "Our hearts and spirits connected immediately. God united not only us, but our families."

Benoy and Janie share a love of sports, travel, reading books, watching movies, listening to music, and photography. With so many common interests, it was only natural that they should also share their lives together.

The couple was engaged, in the presence of their family and friends at Punjab Palace in Northridge, California, on September 27, 2008.

They were married on July 25th, 2009 at Northridge United Methodist Church. Their reception was held at the beautiful Anoush Banquet Facility.
